UTAM Supports the RIA’s Board Diversity Policy and Congratulates UofT’s Recognition as a 2019 Canada’s Best Diversity Employer

As a member of the RIA, the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, and the Canadian Investor Chapter of the 30% Club, as well as through the ISS Sustainability Guidelines for our proxy voting, UTAM supports initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in management and on company boards.  On this International Women’s Day, we are pleased to see the publication of the RIA’s Board Diversity Policy that sets standards and targets for the composition of its board on which Lisa Becker, our Chief Operating Officer, serves.  Lisa and her board colleagues on the RIA’s Governance Policy Committee were key to the drafting of this policy which strives for equal gender representation and inclusion of other dimensions of diversity on RIA’s board and in its management.  Further information about the policy can be found here https://www.riacanada.ca/news/ria-announces-board-diversity-policy/.  We also take this opportunity to congratulate the University of Toronto in being acknowledged as a 2019 winner of the Canada’s Best Diversity Employers competition https://content.eluta.ca/top-employer-university-of-toronto.
