UTAM’s internal committees are described below.
The Management Committee (MC), chaired by the President and Chief Investment Officer, is composed of senior staff and considers issues related to enterprise risk, finance, human resources, and compliance and is responsible for approving all policies.
Management Investment Committee
The Management Investment Committee (MIC), chaired by the President and Chief Investment Officer, is composed of the entire Investment Team along with representation by Risk and Research, Operations including Operational Due Diligence, and Compliance. This committee considers all aspects of UTAM’s investment activities and is responsible for approving all investment mandates.
Management Investment Risk Committee
The Management Investment Risk Committee (MIRC), chaired by the Chief Risk Officer and composed of Risk and Research, and Investment staff, is responsible for developing risk policies, procedures and guidelines, and for monitoring and reporting investment risk for Pension and Endowment.
Responsible Investing Committee
The Responsible Investing Committee (RIC), chaired by the President and Chief Investment Officer, is composed of the most senior staff at UTAM, including the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and the Senior Portfolio Manager, Investments. This committee considers all matters relating to the development and implementation of UTAM’s practices with respect to responsible investing.
